It starts with us: Be the Change - the Plastic Pollution Problem

As successful women, both in business and at home, we can always benefit from the help and support of like-minded women. Our regular monthly meetings offer you the opportunity for personal growth through structured development sessions as well as being able to network with other businesswomen to build successful personal and business relationships.

Visit any of our meetings as a guest and experience the supportive and business focussed environment. Attending any sort of event can be daunting, but we guarantee you a warm welcome as well as an opportunity to increase your business skills and develop your personal qualities.

This month's workshop comes from Natasha Ray of &Keep

Have you ever noticed how we are surrounded by plastic, everywhere we look? We have become a plastic society. The amount of plastic produced in 1950 was 1.7 million tonnes. In 2015, it was 322 million tonnes. We use plastic cups, plastic food wrap, plastic food containers, plastic bags, plastic toothbrushes…

We are slowly becoming more aware of the issues surrounding our “overuse” of plastic and the affects it has on our environment and human health. Since the the introduction of a 5p charge for plastic bags in England, the number of single-use plastic bags used by shoppers has plummeted by more than 85%.

Change is possible and it starts with us. In this interactive session find out how and learn:

- What is plastic pollution and its sources?

- How plastic pollution affects our planet and our health

- Simple steps we can take to reduce plastic pollution, including easy plastic-free alternatives you can start using today

Join us at this meeting for just £20 including a delicious breakfast, the opportunity to network with like-minded business women and learn more from Natasha

Positively Managing the Trade-Offs

As successful women, both in business and at home, we can always benefit from the help and support of like-minded women. Our regular monthly meetings offer you the opportunity for personal growth through structured development sessions as well as being able to network with other businesswomen to build successful personal and business relationships.

This month's workshop comes from Diana Parkes of The Women's SatNav to Success

Many women choose to run their own businesses as the best way of making a living given other commitments they have in life. They need the flexibility to do the other things in life that matter. However, sometimes having to trade-off time to make your business work to meet other demands can be frustrating - losing continuity and momentum – sometimes you can wonder why you bother.

So, how can you minimise the frustrations and embrace the positives to enable you to ride the waves of the fluctuating demands of real life and their impact on your business and your outlook?

Join Diana for this development session,  for just £20 including a delicious breakfast and the opportunity to network  with like-minded business women

Public Speaking workshop

SOLD -OUT

Due to the success of the Successful Women Development Network events we have held in Dorset and Somerset, we have decided to take the format on the road.

Our first Pop-Up event is to be held in the quintessentially English market town of Wimborne and reprises our successful public speaking workshop run by Bev Hepting of Discover your Voice.

One of the many challenges, if not the biggest challenge, to a business owner is having to stand up and speak in public.

You watch experienced speakers work the stage, speaking with confidence and really connecting with their audience - and you wish you could do the same.

Well you can. You can get over your fears and speak with confidence and clarity to get more clients. When you understand the elements that make up your fear, and are able to tackle and overcome them, you lose the majority of that fear. You become a confident speaker that people love to listen to and want to work with.

It's your story so be confident in telling it, your 60-second networking introduction is the first and most important speech to get right.

In this workshop, Bev is going to apply 6 elements to that pitch so that you can stand up and tell people what you do, with confidence and clarity!

Book your place now, network with like- minded women, enjoy a light, healthy breakfast and discover your voice!
